Our Fees

Our professional counseling fees range from $50-$70 per hour. These rates are lower than market rates due to our emphasis on ministry. We strive to never turn anyone away for financial reasons. Here are four ways costs may be reduced on an as-needed basis.

Counseling Interns: Greatly discounted rates are offered by advanced graduate students who are pursuing their master's degree in counseling. These practitioners are supervised by a licensed professional counselor.

Insurance reimbursements: To keep our costs low we do not bill insurance, however our counselors can provide you with detailed receipts to send into your insurance company.

Financial assistance: Some scholarship funds are available to those who qualify. To apply for financial assistance, please complete our scholarship form. For those who qualify a portion of your counseling fees will be covered for 6-8 sessions.

Churches: Many churches assist their members with counseling costs. We will help you explore this possibility with your church.

Scholarship Donations

Tax deductible donations to Refuge Counseling Center Scholarship funds are used to make our services affordable to those lacking the ability to pay 100% of our fees. For information on making a donation contact Crossroads Community Church at (208) 463-9070.

The professional counselors at Refuge Counseling Center are committed to providing services to those in our community who are in need of emotional and spiritual healing, regardless of their financial position. The goal of counseling is to empower each person with the tools needed to have healthy relationships and meet personal goals. Counseling is one of the ways we provide refuge, as people journey toward wholeness.
