You are not alone! You are a person of great worth, created by God in his image. Sometimes we lose our way in our difficulties and become discouraged. At Refuge Counseling Center we seek to integrate faith and counseling in a Christian context of love where people are accepted as they are, and challenged in their journey toward healing and wholeness.
Our Focus
Our Counseling Center is organized around certain principles that reflect its distinct sense of calling and direction.
Christian Counseling
Refuge seeks to practice counseling from a Christian worldview. With client consent, practices such as prayer, Scripture, and discussion of relevant Biblical concepts will be included in counseling.
Competent Counseling
Refuge is a professional counseling center, meaning that it maintains a staff of state licensed counselors that have advanced training and credentials in counseling and psychotherapy. As a training facility, we also offer services through clinical interns who are working towards licensure in nationally accredited master's level programs. Clinical interns receive both on-site and doctoral level faculty supervision.
Affordable Counseling
Refuge seeks to provide counseling services for billing rates that are below market value. All counselors and interns work on a sliding-scale fee based on client household income. A Ministry of Crossroads Community Church
Refuge Counseling Center is a ministry of Crossroads Community Church. The center partners to assist the church body with a variety of counseling needs and serves members of the broader community regardless of their beliefs. We work in partnership with Healthy Families Nampa and Love Inc. seeking to provide professional counseling services to many families who could not otherwise afford services.
