Dori Halbert, LCPC, Clinical Director
Dori holds a Master’s degree from Northwest Nazarene University and is an ordained minister. She has been a practicing counselor for 5 years and has been in professional ministry with her husband for 23 years. Dori provides counseling services to couples in ministry and works with depression, anxiety, trauma recovery and women’s concerns. Dori has been married to Jim for 25 years and together they have three children.

Soni Moon MS, LPC
Soni Moon holds a master’s degree (MS) in counseling from Northwest Nazarene University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Idaho. She has been with Refuge Counseling Center since its founding offering services to individuals, couples, children/adolescents, and families. Soni is experienced in working with those suffering from a myriad of issues such as depression, anxiety, addictions, and relational distress. In addition, she specializes in working with women’s issues, parenting issues and eating disorders. Please call or e-mail if you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment.

Amber Tilson MS, LPC
Amber specializes in domestic abuse/controlling relationships and sexual abuse. She works extensively with children and adolescents using play and art therapy. Amber also works with individuals struggling with depression and anxiety. In addition to her counseling practice at Refuge, Amber also counsels at Terry Reilly Behavioral Health in Nampa.
Lisa Wold MS, LPC
Lisa has her master’s degree in counseling from Northwest Nazarene University and has been working as a licensed professional counselor with Refuge Counseling Center since 2007. Lisa specializes in working with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and spiritual concerns. She has experience working with couples, individuals, and children. Andy Johnson, Clinical Intern
Andy is in his last year of the Community Counseling Program at Northwest Nazarene University and anticipates graduating with a MS degree in December 2008. He is also finishing up an additional Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling at Trinity Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. Andy has served previously as a pastor. Andy has been married for 20 years and has three children. His counseling interests include grief and loss, trauma and abuse, marriage and family counseling, and spiritual issues.

Brian Lindner, Clinical Intern
Brian graduated from NNU and is a licensed social worker. He has worked for the Department of Health and Welfare for the past six years in various programs. He is completing a Masters of Counseling degree in Marriage and Family counseling. His counseling experience includes working with couples and individuals seeking help with childhood trauma, depression, marriage counseling, family counseling, mental illness, anger, grief and loss, divorce recovery, and families who have children with disabilities. Brian and his wife Hollie live in Nampa and attend Boise First Church of the Nazarene.
Jason H. Hoyt MS, LPC, LSW
Jason has been with Refuge Counseling Center since its inception. He works with individuals, couples and adolescents. He also works with men and boys who are struggling with pornography and sexual addictions. Jason has spent over five years working with children with disabilities and enjoys and welcomes any chance to work with children.
