Soni Myers MS, LCPC
Counseling Center Director
Soni Myers holds a Master’s in counseling from Northwest Nazarene University and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Idaho. Soni lives in Nampa with her husband and son. She has been with Refuge Counseling Center since its founding offering services to individuals (ages 6 +), couples and families. She is experienced in working with those suffering from a variety of issues such as marital distress, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, abuse/trauma and grief. Soni views it as a privilege and honor to be invited into the lives of those she works with and finds it very rewarding to walk along side those seeking healing and hope in their lives and relationships. As a registered supervisor she also provides clinical supervision to graduate level interns and post-graduate counselors. Dori Halbert M.ed, LCPC
Dori holds a Master’s degree from Northwest Nazarene University and is an ordained minister. She has been a practicing counselor for 5 years and has been in professional ministry with her husband for 23 years. Dori provides counseling services to couples in ministry and works with depression, anxiety, trauma recovery and women’s concerns. Dori has been married to Jim for 25 years and together they have three children. dori@refugecounseling.com

Mitch Smith MS, LPC
Mitch received his master's degree in counseling from Northwest Nazarene University and is a Liscensed Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho. Originally from western Washington, Mitch and his wife have lived in Nampa for the past 3 years. As well as being a counselor, Mitch has worked with at risk youth in the Treasure Valley. Mitch is experienced in working with families, couples, and individuals with special interests in helping people overcome struggles with pornography, sexual addictions, grief and loss, relational issues and spiritual issues.
