Our Mission

The mission of Refuge Counseling Center is to offer faith-based, professional counseling services that provide a path toward healing and transformation. And we meet that mission by hiring and developing an amazing team of licensed and student intern professionals. Our team is built on the values of generosity, collaboration, and quality, and our unique model offers a balance of operational structure with personal flexibility.

Our Vision

Our vision as a counseling center is understood through the lens of Isaiah 61:1-3 and is demonstrated in partnership with other faith-based organizations committed to binding up the brokenhearted, comforting those who mourn, and proclaiming freedom for captives. While we endeavor to respect the diversity of all clients and not impose personal beliefs or values, we do place a high value on integrating faith practices into counseling sessions in accordance with a client's wishes. As such, all Refuge counselors align and subscribe to the center’s core theology and statement of faith.

We offer a flexible schedule, consistent referrals, regular supervision, and the opportunity to obtain free continuing education units (CEU) throughout the year.
