A little about myself, in case it’s helpful. I have been married for 30 years, and I am a mom of two fantastic young men, two entitled cats and two ridiculous dogs. I also love traveling and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. I have been a counselor for 25 plus years and truly love working with people who are seeking healing and wholeness.
My approach to counseling is fairly simple. I believe that the most important thing in this life is our ability to have meaningful relationships. Because we are broken beings, living in a broken world, we get hurt, scared, frustrated and overwhelmed. As a result, we end up living in survival mode rather than in security and peace. When we heal and are emotionally healthy, life can be easier and more enjoyable, even when it’s hard. As a counselor, I get to help you identify the emotional wounds that are making your life difficult and help you find healing and hope.
How we enter into the discovery, healing and growth process has a lot to do with who you are and what approach is most comfortable for you. We can figure that out together. Whether or not we integrate your faith into the process is entirely up to you. I enjoy working with people of all ages and a variety of struggles. If you have questions or would like to discuss scheduling, please feel free to reach out to me via e-mail.
